Seit Montag ist Deutschland um eine Spieleshow reicher. VOX, bekannt für Aus, Rück- und Hin- und Herwandererdokumentationen, dutzende Kochshows und US-Serien, hat sich die Lizenz für ein Spielequiz aus den USA geleistet.
Der Name des neuen Hoffnungsträgers ist Power Of 10, im Sommer 2007 der erfolgreichste Neustart beim US-Sender CBS. Einzige Aufgabe des Kandidaten ist es, repräsentative Fora-Umfrageergebnisse mit einem je nach erspielter Summe immer kleineren Toleranzbereich zu schätzen. Gestartet wird mit 100 Euro, danach verzehnfacht sich der Betrag in fünf Schritten bis zu einer Million Euro, wobei man für den Millionengewinn punktgenau die Prozentzahl erraten muss.
Die Fragen sind durchweg interessant, wenn zum Beispiel eingeschätzt werden muss, wieviel Prozent der Deutschen nicht mit einem HIV-Positiven in einem Schwimmbecken baden würden, wenn sie von seiner Krankheit wüssten oder ob hässlichere Leute geringere Chancen haben, im Beruf erfolgreich zu sein.
Soweit ist das Konzept also gar nicht mal schlecht und nicht zu unrecht für die Rose d'Or nominiert, aber leider engagierte VOX ausgerechnet Dirk Bach als Moderator. Dirk Bach, den ich schon als Zauberer Pepe in der Sesamstraße scheiße fand und der auch mit seinen Miniansagen in Frei Schnauze genervt hat. Mit ungewohnt einfarbigem Anzug erinnert wenig an die sonst Hüpfburgen und Indianerzelte tragende Comedy-Kugel aus Frei Schnauze, die nun die ganze Show hindurch ihren Senf abgeben darf.
Aufgedreht wie eh und je moderiert Bach eine zu seinem Verhalten konträre Sendung, die durch ständige Regelerklärungen, belangloses Palavern und maximal fünf oder sechs Schätzungen pro Show gnadenlos langweilt. Ganz nach Bachs Ansage Wir reden erst lange, bevor wir etwas entscheiden werden alle möglichen Umfrageergebnisse endlos lange hin- und heranalysiert und diskutiert, nachdem der Kandidat vor jeder neuen Schätzung mit dem undenkbar komplexen Regelwerk bombardiert wurde. Etwas mehr Flexibilität täte der Show sicher gut, denn momentan ist Power Of 10 im typischen Gewinnshow-Gewand leider nicht mehr als eine typische Gewinnshow: Ohne Jauch Klappe zu, (Quoten-)Affe tot. Und ab nächster Woche sogar in der Primetime.
