Ich gebe zu, die Überschrift ist einfallsreich ohne Ende, aber was soll's...

Nachdem unser lokales Käseblatt bereits gestern Morgen auf der Titelseite (!) verkündete, dass Bill Gates sich im Juli in den Ruhestand verabschieden wird, bin ich gestern Abend auf einen Artikel in der FAZ gestoßen, der auch das im Rahmen der Eröffnungsrede der Consumer Electronics Show (CES) von Gates präsentierte Video zu seinem letztem Arbeitstag thematisiert:

Das Video zeigt Gates, wie er an seinem letzten Arbeitstag plötzlich die aberwitzigsten Ambitionen hegt, weil er nicht loslassen kann. Ein wahrer Aufmarsch an hochkarätiger Prominenz ist darin zu sehen: Gates ruft bei den beiden amerikanischen Präsidentschaftskandidaten Hillary Clinton und Barack Obama an und drängt sich ihnen als möglicher Vizepräsident auf. Beide wimmeln ihn ab. Ebenso wenig Erfolg hat er beim Sänger Bono, den er um einen Platz in dessen Rockband U2 anfleht. Mit dem Rapper Jay-Z nimmt Gates ein Lied auf und singt die schrägsten Töne ins Mikrofon. Den muskelgestählten Schauspieler Matthew McConaughey engagiert er als Fitnesstrainer ("Bin ich schon so weit, dass ich mein T-Shirt ausziehen kann?", fragt Gates einen kopfschüttelnden McConaughey). Außerdem erscheinen der Schauspieler George Clooney, der Regisseur Steven Spielberg und der Komiker Jon Stewart. Am Ende des Clips verlässt Gates das Bürogebäude und steigt in einen alten Ford Focus, nicht ohne in seiner Zerstreutheit seinen Karton mit Habseligkeiten auf dem Autodach zu vergessen.
