Nachdem RTL im letzten Jahr mit der ersten Staffel der Doku-Soap (Wikipedia) Teenager außer Kontrolle - Letzter Ausweg Wilder Westen einen Achtungserfolg erzielte, startete heute die zweite Staffel.

Wider Erwartens waren nicht die rückfällig gewordenen Kandidaten des letzten Jahres zu sehen, sondern acht andere Jugendliche. Während die Exildeutschen in der ersten Staffel noch in ihrem Camp verweilen durften, müssen sie in der aktuellen zweiten Staffel an einem Fußmarsch durch die Wüste Oregons teilnehmen.
In kleinen Einspielern werden die Geschichten der Jugendlichen erzählt, die verzweifelten Eltern lassen sich über ihre Kinder aus und im Gegenzug von denselben beleidigen.
Der Therapeut in jedem Zuschauer diagnostiziert schadenfroh: Da hilft nur der Wilde Westen. Und bestätigt damit den neuen Trend im deutschen Fernsehen, wie ihn Patje vor knapp einer Woche auf den Punkt gebracht hat (In Bezug auf DSDS, passt aber trotzdem):

Diese Sendung bestätigt f�r mich einen zunehmenden Trend dazu, mit Schadenfreude, Leid und Unfassbarkeiten das Fernsehprogramm zu bestücken.

Und diese Einschätzung ist goldrichtig. Der Hobby-Voyeurist kuschelt sich zuhause in seine Decke, freut sich, dass sein Kind brav im Bett liegt und kann sich über die von RTL als Schlägerbraut, Junkie oder Gang-Mitglied titulierten Kandidaten auslassen. Und ist damit nicht alleine, denn RTL wird auch mit der zweiten Staffel viele Menschen erreichen und gute Quoten einfahren – wie mit allen anderen Dokuserien, in denen Menschen zur Schau gestellt werden und die derzeit die deutsche Serienlandschaft überschwemmen. Ist das die Zukunft des Fernsehens nach der Talkshow-Flut Ende der 90er Jahre?
